Evangelism Work
| Many of the villages where Joel goes to preach and teach are hours away and hard to get to also. When there is a road to the village, it's not always a good road. But of course, it's worth the effort. The villagers are eager to hear the Word of God - and many accept Jesus as their Savior. |

Difficulty getting to villages |
Acts 2:38 - And Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
Mark 16:16 - "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned."
Joel visited with the northern tribes for about 5 weeks in February and March. He was able to visit quite a few Lahu and Lisu villages where the people were so very hungry for the Word of God. He visited at a Lahu Training Bible school with over 30 students. They've already graduated 17 young people who have gone back to their villages to work. A couple of others have gone on to another Bible school for further education. Joel feels compelled to help financially at that school where there is a great need for tables and beds.
He stayed a couple of weeks in that area where he would walk 2-3 days at a time to get to remote villages where he could preach and teach. He said that so many people came to listen and ask questions about the Bible. They want to know more!
He went to another area where a Lisu Bible school was getting started and they held opening ceremonies - 57 students have come to study God's Word. They were also in need of benches and chairs, not to mention a kitchen/dining hall.
Joel felt his trip was successful being able to meet with so many people and to talk with them one on one. He did suffer from aching feet since he had to walk so much and caught a cold no doubt due to the low temperatures in the higher altitudes in some of the areas he visited.
